The house sparrow is one of the most famous bird in the Netherlands, but its numbers have halved in recent decades. One of the causes is that they have increasing difficulty finding a place to breed. Together with construction companies, @vogelbeschermingnederland has therefore worked on a great plan to require nesting stones for birds and other protected animal species in new built houses and large-scale renovation.
